Privacy Policy
Effective Date: October 4th, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Wildland Legal, P.C. ("Firm," "we," "us," or "our") collects, uses, and discloses personal information of visitors to www.wildlandlegal.com (the "Site"), including prospective clients who contact us through the Site.
This Privacy Policy does not govern information we receive in the course of representing a client. Client information is protected by our duty of confidentiality under California law and the California Rules of Professional Conduct, by the attorney-client privilege where it applies, and by the terms of your signed engagement letter. Information a prospective client shares while consulting with us about possible representation is likewise handled consistent with our professional obligations, as described in our Terms of Service.
1. Information We Collect
We collect the following categories of personal information through the Site:
Contact and inquiry information you provide, such as your name, e-mail address, phone number, company name, and a description of your matter, when you click "Let's Chat!," submit a contact form, schedule a call, or otherwise reach out to us;
Scheduling information, such as the date and time you select for a consultation and any information you enter into our scheduling tool; and
Usage and device information, such as your IP address, browser type, device type, pages viewed, and referring pages, which may be collected automatically through cookies or similar technologies.
Please do not submit sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, financial account numbers, or health information) or confidential business information through the Site.
2. How We Use Your Information
We use the personal information we collect to:
Respond to your inquiries and schedule consultations;
Run conflict-of-interest checks before agreeing to any representation, as our professional obligations require;
Operate, maintain, secure, and improve the Site; and
Comply with applicable law and professional rules, and protect our legal rights.
3. How We Share Your Information
We may share personal information collected through the Site with the following categories of service providers, who process it on our behalf and only as necessary to provide their services to us:
Squarespace – website hosting and contact forms;
Google Workspace – e-mail communications, calendaring, cloud storage, word processing and video conferencing;
Zoom – video conferencing;
Microsoft 365 – word processing, cloud storage and video conferencing; and/or
Artificial intelligence service providers (such as Anthropic's Claude) – drafting assistance and organizing and summarizing inquiries, provided under business terms that prohibit the provider from using our data to train its models.
We may also disclose personal information if required by law, subpoena, or court order; to protect our rights or the safety of others; or in connection with a merger, acquisition, or transfer of the Firm's practice, consistent with our professional obligations and applicable law.
4. Cookies and Similar Technologies
The Site may use cookies and similar technologies operated by our website platform and other embedded tools to support Site functionality and, if enabled, to understand how visitors use the Site. You can block or delete cookies through your browser settings, although some Site features may not work properly if you do.
5. Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control
Some browsers offer a "Do Not Track" signal. Because no uniform standard for responding to these signals exists, the Site does not currently respond to Do Not Track signals. Third parties, such as analytics providers, may collect information about your online activities over time and across different websites when you use the Site.
6. Data Retention
We retain personal information for as long as reasonably necessary to fulfill the purposes described in this Privacy Policy. Because our professional obligations require us to check for conflicts of interest, we may retain a record of your name, your company, and the general nature of your inquiry even if we do not represent you. Otherwise, you may ask us to delete your information at any time, subject to any legal or professional obligation to retain it.
7. Your Choices and Rights
You may contact us at any time to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information you submitted through the Site. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under applicable privacy laws, and we will honor applicable requests consistent with law and our professional obligations.
California residents may request information about any disclosure of their personal information to third parties for those third parties' direct marketing purposes (Cal. Civ. Code § 1798.83).
8. Children's Privacy
The Site is not directed to individuals under the age of 18, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Security
We use commercially reasonable administrative, technical, and physical measures designed to protect personal information collected through the Site. However, no method of transmission over the internet or electronic storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security. This is one reason we ask that you not send confidential information through the Site.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The "Effective Date" above reflects the date of the last revision. Material changes will be reflected by posting the updated Privacy Policy on the Site.
